Yes! Massage therapy can be beneficial during injury recovery by promoting circulation, reducing muscle tension, and supporting healing. However, the type and timing of massage depend on your specific injury and stage of recovery. If you have a recent or severe injury, it’s best to consult with your doctor first. For sports-related injuries, sports therapy may be a better option as it includes targeted treatments and rehabilitation techniques to aid recovery.
Parents are welcome to stay during their teen’s treatment, but it’s not required. For younger teens or first-time sessions, staying in the room may help them feel more comfortable. However, many teens prefer privacy, especially during sports therapy or massage sessions. Our therapists are trained to create a safe and professional environment, and we encourage whatever makes you and your teen feel most at ease. If your teen is under 18-years-old, you will need to sign a waiver to allow them to receive treatment without a parent present. We also have a waiting area the parent is welcome to stay in during the session.
